I request that my child(ren) be allowed to participate in the events, activities, and training sponsored by Freestyle Canada, Freestyle BC and Freestyle Vancouver.
In consideration of my child(ren) being registered, I and my heirs and assigns, hereby forever release, discharge, and hold harmless, Freestyle Canada, Freestyle BC and Freestyle Vancouver, their directors, officers, employees, coaches, representatives, and agents from any liability for injury, loss, or damage sustained by the child(ren), however caused, arising out of or in connection with their participation in events, activities, or training sponsored by Freestyle Canada, Freestyle BC and Freestyle Vancouver.
Please also note that authorization is required for Aerials/Inverts by parent or guardian if registrant is less than 18 years of age.

During the program, photography and video are used for both training and promotional purposes. I acknowledge that I, or my child, may be photographed (either stills or video) and the photos may be used by the club in training material, promotional material, on the internet, on social media or on our website.
When you register for a program, camp and/ or event with Freestyle Vancouver you “accept” and acknowledge that you have read and understood the above waiver and photo release.
I believe that the true essence of sport is to strive for personal achievement and excellence through full and honest effort.
I am committed to participating in sport with integrity, and to striving to win only by legitimate means.
I pledge to learn, understand, and adhere to both the written rules of my sport and the accepted rules of fair play.
I believe that violence and physical intimidation are harmful to sport, and I refuse to use such tactics in an attempt to gain an unfair advantage.
I understand that officials, teammates, and opponents are all integral to sport and worthy of my respect. It is my responsibility to maintain self-control. I will accept officials’ decisions without arguments, compete aggressively but without hostility, and behave graciously in triumph or defeat.
I agree to act with respect toward all those I come into contact with through sport. This means I refrain from comments or behaviours that are abusive, offensive, racist, sexist or otherwise belittling, demeaning, or harmful to others.
I do not harass or tolerate harassment by others.
I respect others as persons and treat them with dignity.
I respect the privacy of others.
I do not endanger the safety of others through my actions.
I act with fairness and integrity in the pursuit of excellent sport.
I practice drug-free sport and accept doping control. I will avoid the abuse of alcohol, smoking, vaping or use of marijuana and illegal drugs.
I strive for personal excellence in sport.
I honour and respect the spirit and traditions of the sport.
I do not impede the preparation for competition of other competitors or teammates.
I respect the decisions of judges and officials.
I promote a drug-free sport.
I accept the rules, policies and procedures of FV governing events and competitions in which I participate.
I comply with the reasonable requests of officials of FV, Freestyle Canada and/or International Ski Federation (FIS).
I accept that I am an ambassador for freestyle skiing and FV.
I refrain from any action which might bring the sport of freestyle skiing or FV’s reputation into disrepute.
I respect the property and livelihood of others, which means refraining from vandalism, theft, and other forms of mischief.
Athletes will be sent home from training after 3 strikes. This will apply to but is not limited to actions such as not listening, talking back, swearing, chirping (making fun of one another), and abuse (hitting others – playful or not).
More serious infractions will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Actions that will not be tolerated and that will have stiffer penalties include not following mountain rules and protocols, roughhousing, and bullying.
If it is decided that an athlete is no longer suitable for the program, they will be asked to leave with no option for a refund. Also, the member can lose the privileges that come from membership in Freestyle Vancouver, including the opportunity to participate in Freestyle Vancouver, Freestyle BC, Freestyle Canada or Nor-am events.
