Job Overview

As our Mountain Coordinator, you’ll be the driving force behind the seamless execution of Freestyle programs and events. Get ready to be at the heart of the action, ensuring that every aspect of our Freestyle community thrives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Coordinator: Plan and coordinate Freestyle programs and staff.
  • Mountain Facilitator: Collaborate with the mountain, venues, and volunteers to secure the best for our athletes.
  • Community Builder: Foster a sense of belonging within the Freestyle community.
  • Data Mastermind: Analyze training data to continually enhance the Freestyle experience.
  • Promotion Whiz: Facilitate engaging content to promote Freestyle programs and events.

Qualifications

  • Passion for Freestyle and an understanding of the sport.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Previous event planning or coordination experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the Freestyle community and trends.

Coach Education & Experience

We’re dedicated to nurturing our coaches’ growth. If you want to upgrade, we offer courses and club
reimbursements to help you reach your full potential.

Minimum SKI Requirements:

  • Freestyle Canada FUNdamentalz Course
  • NCCP Making Ethical Decisions
  • Making Headway Module
  • Criminal Reference Check

Minimum SNOWBOARD Requirements:

  • Canada Snowboard Comp Intro Course “In Training”
  • CAC Safe Sport Module
  • Making Headway Module
  • Criminal Reference Check

Preferred Qualifications (Ski & SB):

  • Post-Secondary Education
  • Competitive Experience
  • CSIA 1 or CASI 1 or Park Certification
  • Freestyle Canada Air 1 & 2
  • Standard First Aid & CPR-C

Expectations:

  • Be an effective communicator with athletes, fellow coaches, and parents.
  • Uphold club policies & procedures and adhere to the Freestyle Canada Code of Conduct.
  • Adapt your coaching approach to suit individual athlete development.
  • Plan, track, and evaluate athletes’ progress.
  • Collaborate within a team environment and work independently.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  • Train young athletes with positivity, high energy, and equality.
