At Freestyle Vancouver, we believe every child should have the opportunity to participate in sport, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances. We encourage families to explore the funding programs below to help offset the cost of registration, equipment, and training.
Available Funding Programs
KidSport BC
Through a confidential application process, KidSport BC provides grants to families facing financial barriers to help with sports registration fees. Visit https://kidsportcanada.ca/british-columbia/provincial-fund/) to apply today.
ABOUT KIDSPORT GRANTS
- Children 18 and younger could be eligible for up to $400 per child per calendar year (January – December). Parents/guardians may apply more than once in a calendar year, but the total amount of grant(s) that will be given will not exceed $400
- Sports activities must be affiliated with a member sports organization of Sport BC and demonstrate a sustained sports experience (a season of sport led by a qualified coach) for at least six weeks, including at least one session per week. - Camps, equipment, travel to playoff, and fundraising do not qualify.
- Applications must be received before or at the start of the requested sports season.
Jumpstart by Canadian Tire
Jumpstart helps children access sport and recreation by providing financial assistance for registration fees and, in some cases, essential equipment. Visit https://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/pages/individual-child-grants/ to apply today.
Athletics4Kids
